  1. Congratulations to the Africa Centre, a new and valuable resource for all those seeking to understand the complexities of the 55 countries the continent comprises. It will help counter the conventional view that Africa is an undifferentiated group of similar countries, all of them struggling, as well as the new consensus that Africa will be the world’s next economic miracle. The reality of life for many Africans is a struggle in countries where basic infrastructure is poor and governance is bad. Africans need to be able to trade with each other and on equitable terms with the outside world. They need partners not exploiters. And they need to be treated with respect.
Good luck witrh this noble project.
